If you don't understand these instructions
email me.
Note: the known high score (least turns) is held by ME!
it is... 14!
The average number of turns (for a decent game) is between
20 and 25
If you beat this score,
email
me a screen shot with the score
and the number of turns present on the applet.
How to play 10,000:
This is a game of chance...
How to Play: Points are scored based on what you roll. After
you press the roll button, each die will display a value.
Select the dice (click the box beside it) that you
would like to keep. (See SCORING section for valid
choices) You do not have to keep all valid choices,
but you must have one valid choice in each roll to keep your turn
going. If you have no valid dice in the roll, then you
will get a turn score of 0, and a new turn will start.
Make SURE your choices are valid, if they
are not, you will get a turn score of 0, and a new
turn will start. If all the dice have been successfully selected,
either all at once, or during various turns, you get to keep on
rolling them. Your score will continue onto this roll.
Press the Roll button twice to get your new roll.
IMPORTANT: Each roll is scored seperately. After you have
scored a die, it is not included in your next roll's score.
So, once a die has a check beside it and has been scored, it
is NOT scored with the remaining rolled dice. If you can't
remember which have been scored, try taking the check away,
scored dice have disabled checkboxes.
How To Win: Well, since I haven't implemented this as a 2 player game yet,
you just roll and roll and roll... until your score reaches
10,000. Try to do it in as little turns as possible.
Labels: Top: A status label, usually indicates last turn status.
Score: Displays overall score for current game.
Turn
Score: Displays the current turn score after the roll
button has been pressed.
Turns: Counts the number of turns you have taken.
Buttons: Roll: To roll the dice
When Score checkbox is checked, pressing
the roll button will add your turn score
to your total class.
Reset: To start a new game
Checkboxes: Score Now - this checkbox is selected when
you choose not to roll the dice anymore.
After selecting the score checkbox,
press the roll button, the game will
record your current score and a new turn
willl start.
The checkboxes beside each die indicate
whether that die is to be kept or rolled when the
roll button is pressed. If it is CHECKED, the
die is KEPT, if it is NOT CHECKED, the die is
ROLLED.
SCORING: TABLE OF POINTS
Number displayed on die: 1 2 3 4 5 6
(amount rolled) 1 100 0 0 0 50 0
2 200 0 0 0 100 0
3 1000 200 300 400 500 600
4 2000 400 600 800 1000 1200
5 4000 800 1200 1600 2000 2400
6 8000 1600 2400 3200 4000 4800
VALID CHOICES:
1's, 5's, triples
IF you do not roll a 1 or a 5 or a set of triples, your turn is a total BUMMER and you will
lose all of the points you have accumulated (if you have any).
NOTE: If you select a choice that is invalid (such as 2 twos) the game is dumb, and
will END YOUR TURN! So if you have something you can keep,
MAKE SURE you select the right dice, otherwise, you will lose all turn
points and start a new turn.
EXAMPLE:
ROLL: 1, 2, 5, 2, 2, 7
KEEP: 1, 2, 5, 2, 2
Turn Score: 350 (100 + 50 + 200)
If you roll the 7,
get a 5: Turn Score = 350 + 50
get a 1: Turn Score = 350 + 100
and you can keep rolling...
BUT If you
get a 2, 3, 4, or 6, you lose the points
and a new turn is started.
If you don't roll the 7,
you would select the Score? box
and your score would be 350
(added to the score you already have)
